FLASHBACK #47: New Apartment, New Job, New City

My apartment was quite large (52 square metres) for my possessions, which had been collected from Tampere and delivered to the apartment whilst I had been away. It was silly, really, that I even had my own apartment anyway, especially as Bree and I had been together for more than a year and a half at this point. I suppose we just wanted to get used to living in the same city.
The new apartment was gorgeous, with a view of the sea from both the living room and bedroom windows. My former colleagues were so jealous when I emailed them photos of my new apartment and they all promised to come and visit! One great thing about the apartment was that it had a bathtub (a rarity in Finland), although the decor left alot to be desired, featuring wall tiles one would expect to see in an Imperialist Russian boudoir!

When I started working, everything was new; the workplace, the people, the processes, even the work itself. Things started off very slowly and it slowly emerged that I was going to be getting no support whatsoever, even though my new employers knew full well that I was currently undergoing a change of career within the same organisation.
So, in the beginning, the work was very challenging, but after a few weeks everything settled down. A new apartment, a new job and closer to Bree, who I saw practically everday.
